Fish Oil for Dogs – Better Health for Fido

"Fish oil for dogs?" You gotta be kidding! " is an answer that I sometimes by the owners, when I propose to supplement it Fido diet with omega-3 salmon oil capsules.

After all, every dog owner knows that cats eat fish, but canines will eat dry croquettes and bits – or perhaps, if they were really good, a can of Ken-L-Ration horsemeat.

"It seems not only natural," Owners often add. But in our mentality and croquettes and bits, it is difficult to saywhat natural or unnatural for dogs.

One thing is certain, it is dependent on unnatural for them to dry food for their nutrition. They are dog facilities are not designed to eat and digest the corn, wheat and carbohydrates that up to 40% of commercial dog food.

If your dog could talk – and I'm glad that I did not – he had to ask for raw meat, bones, fish, eggs, dead possums and other treats that we probably would find horrible.

Links to theiralone in the wilderness – where they came from – dogs can eat easily find out what they should. You do not need a TV commercial with a cute jingle to know what's good for them.

What brings us to fish oil for dogs. As can be mammals, canines suffer from some of the same bad health than people. For example, they receive an inflammation, arthritis, dermatitis, cancer and heart disease as we do – especially when they eat our table embassies.

Studies showFish oil is the health of the canines, such as IT support can be with people. A study in the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine have been published that dogs with heart failure had lower levels of EPA and DHA than their healthy counterparts. Supplementation with omega-3 oil rich in EPA and DHA improved the survival rate for all dogs. (Vol. 12 (6), 440-8)

There's more too! Now you can stop screaming at Fido to stop licking himself raw. Fish oil has shown to reduce the itching, redness toSwelling and hair loss associated with the dry, raw, hairless patches, they seem to fixate on. (Veterinary Record, vol. 144, No. 15, 405-07)

Then you call Fido salmon oil capsules and see off the patches.

And if he arthritis – often in large breeds – then Omega-3 is the most important thing you do for Fido. Just like in humans, it will reduce the pain and stiffness associated with arthritis.

We have even had found a beautiful, unclaimed Golden Retrieverterrible hip problems. Sedona couldn’t get up from a lying or sitting position without help.

But once we put her on daily salmon oil capsules, within several weeks she was jumping and running around like a puppy. Sedona turned out to be one of the best pets we ever had.

So, if you want better health for your “best friend,” feed her or him a raw food diet that includes omega 3 fatty acids. And, if a raw food diet is too involved for you and you plan on continuing to Feed dry food, then by all means, including supplementing the diet with high quality fish oil capsules.

Finally, they are a part of your family and deserve the best you can give them.
